My name is Svetlana, and I've been a professional photographer for over 8 years. Born and raised in my hometown of Odessa, Ukraine, I've always felt a strong connection to the sea. Coupled with my desire to creating vivid and emotional stories through photographs, I now help my clients capture authentic and moving moments on the shores of Grand Cayman.
Before moving here in January 2024 to work with local outfit Blank Canvas, I lived and worked in London, UK, where my portfolio consisted of wedding, lifestyle and personal branding shoots. I've also had the good fortune of working extensively in Europe, especially in popular wedding destinations such as Italy, Portugal and France.
My passion for photography was borne out of two of my fundamental values: the inspiration I gain from forming a connection with people; and my appreciation for a photograph's ability to enable us to recall (and sometimes even re-experience) a moment in time.
Whether I'm shooting a big family gathering on the island or a couple's 25th wedding anniversary, I aim to capture the moments that both demonstrate the individuality of those people, and that portray the particular emotions that they are feeling. All I ask from my clients is to enjoy the occasion and be yourselves - I’ll be there to tell your story :)
